One of Dubai’s fastest-growing neighbourhoods, Al Barsha is located south-west of the city centre, part of the area commonly called new Dubai. Along with plenty of great shops, restaurants and hotels, Al Barsha is also an increasingly popular residential area, offering comfortable apartments and houses to Dubai’s residents.

Next to the main part of Al Barsha is Barsha Heights, which also forms part of the TECOM Free Zone – other parts of TECOM, including Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and Knowledge Village, are on the other side of Sheikh Zayed Road. Being part of TECOM means Barsha Heights is home to tech start-ups and media companies – making it an increasingly lively area.
